Motivated to start the reclamation of Cyclone Freddy induced gullies inside the Chiradzulu Forest Reserve under Dokotala GVH.
These gullies wrecked houses, crops and property in the just ended rainy season. We are glad to see communities welcoming the development and actively participating in the rehabilitation of these deep gullies.
Check-dams and stone bands will be constructed to ease the reduce runoff and further enlargement of the gullies.
As a token of appreciation, these communities will be supported with wages to ease the hardships being encountered in the guest to recover from the cyclone effects..
